About the Opportunity Kalagadi Manganese Mine is seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns to join our Warehouse team. This opportunity is ideal for recent Grade 12 graduates or candidates who have completed warehousing or logistics-related studies and are looking to gain practical experience in a mining warehouse environment.
Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidates will assist with:
  • Picking, packing, and issuing materials, parts, and consumables according to requisitions.
  • Inspecting inventory for damages or discrepancies.
  • Reporting stock variances, shortages, and damaged items.
  • Assisting with stock counts, cycle counts, and stocktaking activities.
  • Replenishing shelves and maintaining organized storage areas.
  • Preparing items for dispatch, including labelling, shrink wrapping, and securing loads.
  • Loading and unloading materials when required.
  • Operating warehouse equipment safely and adhering to all safety standards.
  • Verifying stock codes, quantities, and descriptions.
  • Maintaining housekeeping and safety standards within the warehouse.

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
  • Warehousing, Supply Chain, or Logistics qualification/certificate will be advantageous.
  • A valid forklift licence will be advantageous.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Willingness to learn and work in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work shifts and perform physically demanding tasks.
