Founded in 2001 by a group of black South African women entrepreneurs and led by Daphne Mashile-Nkosi, the company was built on the belief that mining can drive both economic growth and meaningful empowerment. Located in the world-class Kalahari Basin, which holds about 80% of the world’s known manganese reserves, Kalagadi was established with a clear strategic intent, to beneficiate South Africa’s mineral resources, create sustainable value nand advance transformation in the mining sector. About us
Kalagadi Manganese mines, processes, produces and exports Low Volatile High-Grade Manganese (LVHGMn). The LVHGMn is sold to foreign markets for crude and stainless-steel production. Kalagadi Manganese (Pty) Ltd is a black women-led South African mining company. It is owned by Kgalagadi Alloys (44%) Kalahari Resources (36%) and the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa Limited (IDC) (20%).
