Mechanical Installation, Maintenance and Repair work on all mechanical equipment associated with a Manganese Production Shaft as per established maintenance criteria.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Achievement of safe production performance levels through the effective maintenance of equipment.
• Attend and conduct safety meetings & risk assessments including hazards identification in your area of responsibility and remedial measures drawn up and implemented to eliminate incidents/accidents.
• Ensure all legal inspections & documentation are completed and kept up to date.
• Attend to breakdowns and maintenance of shaft and winding equipment.
• Ensure that material, spares, and equipment are available as required.
• Make yourself available for overtime & standby from time to time in accordance with the requirements of your duty.
• Ensure effective communication and feedback between yourself, relieving shift and your supervisor.
• Performing work with due regard to the requirements stipulated in SOP’s and COP’s.
• Ensure proper and adequate on-the-job training and coaching is provided to apprentices, assistants, and subordinates.
