Job description
· Comply with safety, health and environmental standards. Identify and report unsafe and hazardous situations in the work area. Participate in safety meetings
· Conduct pre-checks on equipment including Total Stations, GPS, Scanner, Survey Tools, LDV and Manlift to ensure survey equipment is ready, clean, in good condition and batteries are fully charged
· Report any defects, damaged or missing equipment immediately
· Assist Surveyor to measure infrastructure in accordance with surveying standards and procedures
· Assist surveyor with volumetric quantification of surface and underground production.
· Assist surveyor with establishment and expansion of the surveying network on surface and underground.
- Assist surveyor with operation of LDV and Manlift for Survey beacon and underground survey peg installation
Minimum requirements
· Grade 12 with Mathematics is essential
· Basic Mine Surveying Certificate will be advantageous
· Manitou Operators License will be advantageous
· 1 Year’s experience in a Mine Surveying environment is essential
· A valid code B/EB driver’s license will be advantageous
· Medically fit for duty
