•       Operate the plant at optimum capacity.

•       Log control parameters per hour and report anomalies to the supervisor.

•       Control the plant efficiently.

•       Relieve the shift supervisor and assist with supervision of daily activity of control room operators and plant operators.

•       Maintaining good housekeeping standards.

•       Ensure that the plant equipment is operated in line with the specifications and that outputs are in line with the expected results and report deviations.

•       Interpret lab results and adjust the process recipe accordingly.

•       Achieving outstanding safety and operational standards in all areas of the sinter process plant maintaining zero harm to people and environment.

•       Report system malfunctions immediately and lead communications to advise all system users of outages and progress.

•       Compile reports as requested by Supervisor.

•       Provide an effective control room operator service to ensure daily production targets are met.

•       Be prepared to work outside of normal working hours (site specific)
