Job description
Operate, monitor, and control plant systems and equipment (crushers, mills, screens, conveyors, flotation circuits, etc.).
Conduct regular plant inspections and report any deviations, faults, or abnormalities.
Optimize process parameters to achieve production and quality targets.
Maintain accurate log sheets, shift reports, and production data.
Liaise with maintenance teams to coordinate planned and unplanned stoppages.
Ensure adherence to SHEQ standards and safe operating procedures.
Assist in troubleshooting plant performance issues and propose improvements.
Supervise and provide guidance to Plant Attendants/Operators when required.
Minimum requirements
Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 (Mathematics and Science essential).
NQF Level 2/3 Mineral Processing Certificate (advantageous).
2–3 years’ experience as a Process Operator/Controller in a mining or processing environment.
Sound knowledge of plant processes, control systems, and equipment.
Computer literacy (SCADA/DCS experience advantageous).
Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
